πŸ™Œ Bella is finally home safe after her 5 day adventure in π—ͺπ—œπ—‘π—–π—›π—˜π—¦π—§π—˜π—₯, 𝗩𝗔‼️ We always say, it can happen to anybody … and there are unfortunately something’s that are out of our control - this is one of those times. What begun like every other day quickly took a turn when an off leash dog charged at Bella (who was in her own yard) - causing her to run frantically, even crossing the busy Route 522 before vanishing. Their first call was to Sky Sniff Animal Recovery who responded in record time. He quickly put the drone up in hopes that his “eyes in the sky” could assist them in getting their own eyes on Bella. Unfortunately, not long after taking flight ✈️ there were some technical difficulties, making it impossible to continue flying. With π—π—˜π—₯𝗒 π—¦π—œπ—šπ—›π—§π—œπ—‘π—šπ—¦ since time of loss, their next call was to Professional Pet Trackers. K9 Finley was paws 🐾 on the ground 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 hoping to narrow down an area - and that he did! Not only did we get a π——π—œπ—₯π—˜π—–π—§π—œπ—’π—‘ 𝗒𝗙 𝗧π—₯π—”π—©π—˜π—Ÿ, π—•π—¨π—œπ—Ÿπ—— 𝗔 π—£π—˜π—₯π—œπ— π—˜π—§π—˜π—₯, but we also 𝗣π—₯π—’π——π—¨π—–π—˜π—— π—¦π—˜π—©π—˜π—₯π—”π—Ÿ π—¦π—œπ—šπ—›π—§π—œπ—‘π—šπ—¦ while on our track!! Things were looking up!! With strong storms predicted we knew that time was of the essence, so Matthew Chapman and I were able to get feeding stations set, a camera up, and had a trap in place for if/when needed. Now the hardest part … we wait. We assumed that with all the thunder and lightning ⚑️ Bella was likely hunkered down- and being on “bella time” we knew we had to wait her out. As luck would have it, we didn’t have to wait long. A Good Samaritan spotted her (roughly 1000 feet off the tracked area) and did everything correctly!! They didn’t pursue her, call to her, or try and coax her to them - they just called the number on the flyer that was posted near by. As soon as that call came in Caren & Deb were as good as there. Having been well versed in calming signals, they were able to get a hand capture and Bella was home!!
